This Cisco DS-SFP-FC16G-SW compatible optical transceiver is designed to support 4G/8G/16G Fibre Channel (FC), suitable for storage area network (SAN) links up to 100m over multi-mode fiber.

This Cisco DS-SFP-FC16G-SW compatible module features a highly reliable 850nm VCSEL transmitter and PIN photo-detector into a duplex LC optical connector.

Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in SFF-8472, which allows real-time access to device operating parameters such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.

This 16GFC SW optical transceiver is factory pre-programmed with all the necessary configuration data for seamless network integration and performs identically to genuine Cisco DS-SFP-FC16G-SW transceivers, with excellent interoperation on Cisco SFP+ port data center switches, for example, Cisco Nexus 93180YC-FX.
