The rubber compounding twin-screw extruder is a key equipment in the field of rubber processing, with the following characteristics and applications:
I Structure and Principle
1- Twin-screw system: The core of the equipment is two intermeshing screws, which rotate in the same or opposite directions to transport rubber raw materials, compounding agents, etc. from the hopper to the inside of the barrel. The different pitch and thread segment combinations on the screw will produce strong shearing, extrusion and stirring effects, allowing various materials to be mixed quickly and evenly, which is much more efficient than the mixing efficiency of a single-screw extruder.
2- Extrusion part: The fully mixed rubber material is extruded through a die of a specific shape under the push of the screw to form a continuous rubber strip or film prototype, preparing for subsequent molding.
3- Tabletting link: The extruded material immediately enters the
tablet press, and passes through multiple sets of rollers. Under
the pressure of the rollers, the rubber strip is pressed into a
film with a specified thickness, width and a smooth surface, which
is convenient for subsequent cutting, vulcanization and other
processes.

such as carbon black, vulcanizer, antioxidant, etc., evenly

Overview of main structure
4.1 Extrusion device
The extrusion device is mainly composed of two screws, barrel,
bearing, bearing seat, rubber baffle, etc. Two conical twin screws
rotate in opposite directions, and the screws are supported by
thrust radial symmetrical spherical roller bearings and double-row
radial spherical roller bearings.
4.1.1 Screw: The inner cavity of the screw is cooled by water, and
the surface of the screw in contact with the rubber is plated with
hard chrome.
4.1.2 Barrel: The inner cavity of the barrel is jacketed and
cooled, and the inner surface of the barrel in contact with the
rubber is plated with hard chrome, and the barrel is 15° to the
horizontal plane.
4.1.3 Rubber baffle: The part where the rubber baffle contacts the
rubber is plated with hard chrome.
4.2 Tablet pressing device
The tablet pressing device is mainly composed of upper and lower
rollers, a distance adjustment device, left and right brackets,
etc. The two ends of the rollers are supported by rolling bearings,
and the distance between the two rollers is adjusted by the
distance adjustment device.
4.2.1 Roller: Made of alloy chilled cast iron. The working surface
hardness of the roller is 68~75HSD.
4.2.2 Distance adjustment device: electric distance adjustment.
4.2.3 Emergency stop device: an emergency stop switch is installed
above the tablet press.
4.2.4 Safety device: a safety sheet is set to protect the roller.
4.3 Feeding trough
The rubber material is stored on the feeding trough for screw
conveying.
4.4 Base
The main machine base is a steel plate welded structure.
4.5 Transmission system
The transmission system consists of a motor, a reducer, a coupling,
etc.
4.5.1 Tablet reducer: mainly provides power for the roller. The
gear is a hard tooth surface gear, and the gear surface is surface
treated and ground to ensure accuracy.
4.5.2 Extrusion reducer: mainly provides power for the screw. The
gear is a hard tooth surface gear, and the gear surface is surface
treated and ground to ensure accuracy. .
4.5.3 An elastic coupling is used between the main motor and the
reducer.
4.6 Dry oil lubrication system
An electric grease lubrication pump is used.
4.7 Cooling pipeline system
Two separate circuits are used for extrusion and tableting to cool
the main parts. The extrusion screw and barrel are a cooling
circulation loop; the upper and lower rollers use a cooling
circulation loop.
