Type 410 Stainless Steel is a martensitic stainless steel that provides good corrosion
resistance plus high strength and hardness. It is magnetic in both
the annealed and hardened conditions. A wide range of properties
can be developed with different heat treatments.
Type 430 (UNS S43000) is a ferritic rolled coil stainless steel
that has resistance to oxidation up to 1500ºF along with good
ductility and corrosion resistance. This alloy is also often
polished for cosmetic applications.
410 flat rolled stainless steel is reserved for applications that
require some corrosion resistance and high mechanical properties.
