Advantages of internal piloted valves (4V230-08)
Pneumatic valves are usually operated by air captured during prior or ongoing operations. The current through the ac solenoid valve begins with the first strong current shock and then drops to a lower normal level. If the solenoid is left open for too long and receives too much of the first maximum current, it can permanently damage the device. Dc solenoid valves, by contrast, do not change current and are not at risk of current damage.The dc circuit can be used without problems with the ac solenoid, but the dc solenoid cannot be used on other circuits without becoming noisy and overheating.
