GE DS200DACAG1ACD AC/DC Power Conversion Module
Product Description:
The GE DS200DACAG1ACD is an AC/DC Power Conversion Module for GE’s Mark V Series, primarily converting 115/230 V AC input to 125 V DC output. It is used when a control system’s primary power is 125 V DC, and provides local energy storage to extend ride-through time during complete Mark VIe control power loss. A drop-in replacement, DS2020DACAG2, is backward compatible with it, offering higher power and paralleling capability.
Physically, it is a double-sided board with components on both surfaces, three shaped edges, factory-drilled holes, female plug connectors, wire-wound resistors, a green LED indicator, identifying codes, and a large high-voltage capacitor. Installation uses four base mounting holes; AC/DC connections go through a 12-position JZ connector, with 115 V/230 V input selected via internal JTX1/JTX2 cables. Operation relies on a full-wave bridge rectifier and output filter capacitor.
Key Features:
Efficient Voltage Conversion and Power Loss Ride-Through: Stably converts 115/230 V AC input to 125 V DC output, precisely
matching the 125 V DC primary power requirement of Mark V control
systems. It also integrates local energy storage to extend
"ride-through time" during complete Mark VIe control power loss,
preventing sudden system shutdowns and safeguarding critical
turbine operations from power interruptions.
Backward-Compatible Replacement Support: Seamlessly adapts to its direct replacement model, DS2020DACAG2,
which is fully compatible with systems using the original module—no
core architecture modifications required. The newer model features
a higher power rating and supports paralleling for increased output
current, enabling flexible future upgrades without changing the
overall power supply scheme.
Flexible Voltage Input Selection: Achieves dual-voltage input configuration via internal cable
connections—plugging into JTX1 for 115 V AC or JTX2 for 230 V AC.
Eliminates the need for region-specific modules, adapting to site
power standards in North America (115 V) and Eurasia (230 V) alike.
Industrial-Grade Durable Design: Utilizes a double-sided component layout to secure resistors,
capacitors, and other parts within limited space, withstanding
harsh turbine environments. Three edges feature tabs or cutouts for
precise installation alignment; factory-drilled holes with
conductive rings enhance grounding and structural stability,
preventing loose connections over time. A single green LED
indicator provides visual confirmation of operational status,
facilitating quick maintenance checks.
Simplified Installation and Integration: Centralizes AC input and DC output connections through a single
12-position JZ connector, which directly interfaces with PDM
connectors JZ2 or JZ3—reducing wiring complexity and connection
errors. Four base mounting holes enable secure, standardized
installation in Mark V racks, supporting easy replacement or
addition of modules.
Adaptability to Diverse Power Quality Needs: Uses a full-wave bridge rectifier and output filter capacitor to ensure stable DC output. Supports optional input filters to attenuate harmonic currents in the AC line, meeting strict power quality requirements and preventing interference with other turbine control components.
