IS200DAMEG1ABA is a gate amplifier/interface board developed by General Electric (GE), which is a part of GE's transmission control system and is mainly used in Innovation Series control racks. It is used for connecting power switching devices (e.g., IGBTs) in the low-voltage drive train to the control rack, and is a key interface component between the three.
Its core function is to provide an unamplified, no-power-input
interface connection between the collector terminals, emitters,
IGBT gates, and the bridge characteristic interface board (BPIA
board) of the control frame.
This board is one of the Gate Drive Amplifier/Interface Boards of the GE Mark VI series, one of six variants, adapted to a drive power level of 65 frames, suitable for phase-legged drive systems, and can support three phases (A, B, C) in a single board with a common IGBT module for all three phases.
Features:
1.Interface function: only for interface connection, no signal amplification, and no power input. Input and output connections to the BPIA board are realized through three connectors: CPL (C-phase, labeled as U), BPL (B-phase, labeled as V), APL (A-phase, labeled as W).
2.Structure and Connections: Contains 6 connectors, each with a different pin function, e.g.
pin 5 is the common terminal, corresponding to the emitter of each
phase in the upper bridge arm IGBT model. They are soldered to the
IGBT module and must be replaced at the same time; the control
system must be switched off before operation to prevent electric
shock.
3.Adaptation features:Adaptation to phase-legged drives; a single board can cover three
phases, which share a common IGBT module (although there may be
multiple IGBTs per phase leg, only one module is required for this
board). The drive power rating is 65 fps and is one of six
variants.
4.Safety and replacement: Replacement requires handling both the IGBT and DAME boards (due
to soldered connections) and must be done without power.
Installation requires the application of a specific silicone grease
(e.g. Dow Corning 340) and the tightening of the bolts to a
specific torque and sequence to ensure a reliable connection.
