Description
A toroidal transformer is a power transformer in which both the primary and secondary coils are wound around a toroidal iron core. When a current flows through the primary winding, it causes an electromotive force (EMF), which then creates a current in the secondary winding, thereby transferring power from the primary to the secondary.
The unique shape of the toroidal transformer allows for shorter coils, reduce resistance losses or winding losses and improve overall efficiency.
