904L Stainless Steel Seamless and ERW Pipe is made up of a nickel chromium alloy that has lower carbon content. The lower carbon content enables the pipes to be welded with ease without the risk of localized corrosion due to the reduced carbide precipitation during welding.
The dimensions of the tubes vary according to the ASTM, ASME and API standards. The pipes range from ½ inches to 16 inches in nominal bore size for seamless pipes, ½ to 24 inches for ERW pipes and 6 to 100 inches for electric fusion welded pipes. The sizes range from 1/8 inches to 30 inches. These ASTM B677 UNS N08904 ERW Pipes are specialized as larger diameter pipes. There are varying schedules from sch20 through XXS. There are seamless, welded, fabricated, ERW and LSAW pipes. The 904L Stainless Steel Welded Pipes are good for welding. They can come in different pipe endings like plain, beveled and treaded.
