Silicone foam materials have been widely used in the industry.
Silicone foam can generate stable rebound stress within a certain
compression range, so it is especially suitable for ensuring the
safety and reliability of electric vehicles during their service
life. The compression curve of the silicone foam shows the
material's advantage in withstanding long-term compression and
temperature. This is critical to ensure stable performance over the
life of the battery. At the same time, silicone foam also extends
the life of electric vehicle batteries by shock absorption and
protection of sensitive components.
- Wide operating temperature – silicone foam has a temperature range of -67°F to 392°F (-55°C to
200°C).
- Water sealing – closed cell products offer good water sealing with relatively low
compressive forces.
- Dust sealing – open cell and closed-cell products can be used for sealing out
dust with low compressive forces.
- Compression set resistance – silicone foam offers excellent compression set resistance
(ability to rebound to original
- thickness).
- UV and ozone resistance – silicone products have excellent UV and ozone resistance due in
part to their inorganic backbone. This provides long-term
performance.
- UL gasket – most silicone foam products are UL 94 flame rated for the gasket.
