The DP83826 is able to provide very low deterministic latency and low power consumption, and supports 10BASE-Te, 100BASE-TX Ethernet protocols to meet the stringent requirements in real-time industrial Ethernet systems. The device includes hardware bootstrap for fast link, fast link drop detection mode, and a dedicated reference CLKOUT for clock synchronization with other modules on the system. The two configurable modes are: BASIC standard Ethernet mode using a common Ethernet pinout, and ENHANCED Ethernet mode that supports standard Ethernet mode and multiple industrial Ethernet fieldbus applications (through additional features and hardware bootstrap configuration).
