Product Description of IC695PNS001

The IC695PNS001 is a Profinet scanner module that is manufactured by GE Fanuc / Emerson Automation. This module is a single slot wide module, that is used to manage Profinet connections such as communicating to remote I/O devices residing in universal I/O backplanes, whether Series 90-30 or RX3i modules; Sending I/O data through the Profinet network to the partner CPUs in the network; Communicate with Human Machine Interface (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and other similar automation components.

The IC695PNS001 features One (1) micro USB port that is mainly used in performing firmware upgrades. It is also equipped with Four (4) Ethernet communication ports that primarily support Profinet protocol. Each of the ports supports modern communication speeds such as 10/100/1000 Mbps communication speed and supports a variety of topologies such a Liner, Daisy-chain, Star, Ring or redundant Ethernet media topology. Additionally, Two (2) of the IC695PNS001’s ethernet port are Two (2) Small Form Factor (SFP) pluggable cages that may be installed with SFP modules for converting network to Fiber Optic media. The IC695PNS001 is designed with simplified configuration method. I/O device name, IP address and other parameters may be saved in an SD card and transferred to other Profinet Scanner module by inserting the same SD card. This method eliminates dependency with software configuration tool and significantly decreases maintenance time.

The IC695PNS001 occupies a single slot of the backplane with status LED indicators mounted on the module’s front panel. It has OK LED, LAN LED, STATUS LED, CONN LED, individual PORT LEDs, ACTIVE LED and USB LED. These LED indicators provided comprehensive overview of the module’s operational state.

The IC695PNS001 has an internal power rating of 1.2 Amps at 3.3 Volts DC or 1.1 Amps maximum at a rated voltage of 5 Volts DC. This module supports the Proficy Machine Edition version 8.50 or later versions of the software. The operating temperature range for this module is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and it comes with 2 SFP and 2 RJ-45 cages with the SFP devices available separately. When the network communications are lost, the IC695PNS001 PROFINET scanner module helps to manage the input and output states depending on the specific configurations of a module. This module features 4 switched Ethernet ports, it supports the daisy chain, star, or ring topologies.
