Company history
In 1950, founder Ho Shun Tong moved from China to Macau. To make a living for his family in
this new place, he learned handmade cones from a street stall.
Hand-making cones earn enough for the family to a vibrating city,
Hong Kong. Ho and his wife, Lai Yuk Mei, rented a shop in Kowloon,
which they later purchased. Ho Hau Ice-creams Cone Co. Ltd was
officially registered when spaces in industrial building were
purchased in 1973. Ho Hau became the only cone baker for Hong Kong
market later on.
The second generation succeeded the business in the 80’s. Their new
thinking, vision and market opportunities brought Ho Hau cone
business into a new horizon. Automation was introduced in
production to increase efficiency and quality. As Mainland China
continued its economic reform, Guangzhou Starland Food Co. Ltd was
set up in the 90’s with self-owned land to explore and develop this
fast-growing market. Starland developed its first automatic cone
baking machine in the late 90’s with knowledge accumulated over the
decades and various professionals available in China. Auhui
Starland Machinery Foods Machinery Co. Ltd was established in 2005 for grasp the abundant natural and human resources and be ready to serve the
inland market.
For more than half a century, the family members dedicated themselves to do everything about ice-cream cones. From cones to machines to solution, we are still working on it day in day out. With cone production using our Starland machine, we are trying to improve recipe, management system and machine design every day. There is only one purpose: to make nice, strong and hygienic cone efficiently and reliably for consumers.
