Triple insulated wire is a cable or wire that has three layers of insulation to provide additional protection and insulation.

Triple-insulated wire usually consists of the following three layers:

Internal Insulation: This is the layer closest to the conductors and is usually made of an insulating material such as polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The main purpose of the internal insulation layer is to stop the flow of current from the conductor and to provide insulating protection against the current flow.

Intermediate Insulation: This is the layer between the inner and outer insulation layers. The middle insulation layer is usually made of insulation materials such as polypropylene (PP) or cross-linked polypropylene (XLPP). The role of the middle insulation layer is to provide additional insulation and protection to prevent electromagnetic interference in the external environment from affecting the wires.

External Insulation: This is the outermost layer of insulation and is usually made from an insulating material such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or cross-linked polyvinyl chloride (XLPE). The main function of the external insulation layer is to provide mechanical protection and resistance to chemical corrosion, so that the wire can safely and reliably transmit current under various environmental conditions.

By using a triple-insulation design, the cable or wire can provide higher insulation performance and protection, making it suitable for a variety of power and communications applications, including construction, industrial, oil and gas, and more.
