What is ultrasonic cleaning?

Ultra sonic cleaning involves the use of high-frequency sound waves that are above the upper range of human hearing (usually from 20–400 kHz) to remove a variety of contaminants from parts immersed in water. The contaminants can be dirt, carbon, paint, rust, oxidization, soot, oil, grease, flux, buffing/polishing compounds, and mold release agents, just to name a few.

Cleaning normally lasts between three and six minutes, but can also exceed 20 minutes, depending on the object to be cleaned.

There are many materials that can be cleaned including metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, and any hard durable item and so on. Ultrasonic agitation can be used with a variety of cleaning agents.

The best way to describe ultrasonic cleaning is thinking of it as a stereo system. The ultrasonic generator " Stereo Amplifier" sends the sound waves to the transducer or crystals " Stereo Speakers" that produce sound waves it the water that produce millions of tiny scrubbing bubbles that implode on contact generating its own heat that is a very aggressive cleaner with just tap water but is greatly enhanced with cleaning solution and heat.

Ultrasonic cleaning is powerful enough to remove tough contaminants, yet gentle enough not to damage the item. It provides excellent penetration and cleaning in the smallest crevices and between tightly spaced parts in a cleaning tank.
