Network Interface Module Installation Notes:

The network interface module is installed on the VIU and VIEU. The VIU and VIEU must be removed from the slot of the router chassis before installing the network interface module. After installing the network interface module on the VIU and VIEU, insert the VIEU and VIU into the chassis of the router. Slot. For VIU replacement, see "7.8 Replacing the Universal Interface Unit". For VIEU replacement, see "7.9 Replacing the Universal Interface Expansion Unit".

The pre-processing card and rear adapter card of the same network interface module must be installed on the corresponding VIU and VIEU module card slots respectively;

After the network interface module is installed, when the universal interface unit is installed on the router, the universal interface expansion unit should be installed first, and the cable of the network interface should be connected, and then the universal interface unit should be installed;

To avoid board damage, during the installation and replacement of the board, temporarily store the board in the PCB tray, as shown in Figure 9-2.
 When installing the components of various routers, especially the circuit board, you must wear an anti-static wrist strap.  When holding the circuit board, it is best to hold the edge of the circuit board. Do not touch the components and the printed circuit board.
Avoid clothing and circuit board contact, anti-static wrist can only prevent static electricity on the body damage the circuit board, and can not prevent static electricity on the clothes on the circuit board damage;

Laser safety, pay attention to the damage of the optical interface to the human body.
