AC Electrical Power Surge Protection Device 40KA IMAX Against Lightning Fluctuations
Brief introduction
The surge protector is a voltage switch type SPD fixed to the
indoor outlet for one port, and the product is designed and
manufactured according to the current national standards such as
GB50057-2010 and gb18802.1. It has the advantages of large impact
current and low residual pressure. The core components are composed
of multistage graphite gap. Reasonable design and precise
processing of the combination of spark and twisting together form a
sealing mechanism to ensure the safe distance of the spark gap.
Even when the surge current is passed, it will not produce the arc
discharge.

Working principle of product
Power surge protector is divided into two parts: explosion proof
box type and modular type. A varistor with excellent nonlinear
characteristics is adopted. Under normal conditions, the surge
protector is in extremely high resistance state, and the leakage
current is almost zero, thus ensuring the normal power supply of
the power supply system. When the power system surge overvoltage,
the power surge protector immediately passes in the nanosecond
time, limits the amplitude of the overvoltage to the safe working
range of the equipment, and releases the surge energy into the
ground. Subsequently, surge protector rapidly changes to high
resistance state, so that normal power supply is not affected.
Use of attention
1. the protected equipment must have good grounding, and the
grounding impedance is in accordance with the relevant national
standards.
2. standard RJ45 interface can be conveniently connected to the
front end of the protected equipment. The grounding path should be
as short as possible, and the length should not exceed 1.5 meters.
3. generally speaking, it is better to separate the protected
conductor from the non protected conductor, and it should be
separated from the ground wire. At the same time, in order to avoid
transient orthogonal coupling between power cables and
communication cables, necessary measurements should be made.
