Wall Thickness of Casting Parts

With the increase of wall thickness, the defects such as inner pores and shrinkage holes increase. Therefore, under the premise of ensuring sufficient strength and stiffness of the casting, the thickness should be reduced as far as possible and the thickness of the section should be kept consistent. In order to avoid shrinkage and porosity, the thickness of the casting wall should be reduced and the reinforcement should be added.

The thin - walled casting has good compactness, which improves the strength and pressure resistance of the casting. However, the wall should not be too thin, so that alloy welding is not good, easy to produce defects, and the process is difficult.
