Introduction

Drill Collar Slips are used to handle drill collar and elevator plug in oil and gas drilling operation, all drill collar slips are made of high quality alloy steel, heat treated and NDT tested, with an API taper of 4 inch/feet on the diameter, self centering full wrap around grip, fitted with circular button inserts, and can accommodate slip recess type drill collars or slick type drill collars from 4" to 11¼" OD by adding or removing body segments. This type is equal to DCS-S drill collar slips or DCS-R drill collar slips or DCS-L drill collar slips. drill collar slips are furnished with three upright handles with elastomer on grip. All drill collar slips are flat on top to be able to accommodate safety clamps, and each drill collar slips bears API monogram and can be provided additional inserts as per requirement.

Drill Collar Slips Type WT can accommodate drill collars from 4.1/2in(114.3mm) to 11.3/4in(285.8mm) O.D.. They are designed and manufactured according to API Spec 7K.
