Non Fragile Metal Properties Welding by 20khz High Power Ultrasonic
Low Resistivity
Description:
Ultrasonic welding of non-ferrous metals (such as copper and
aluminum) is a proven welding technology in the industry that has
been tested for many years. Ultrasonic welding is extremely fast
and takes only 1 to 3 seconds, depending on the size of the welded
joint. Compared to other welding processes, when using ultrasonic
welding technology, the joints heat up less and therefore do not
reach their melting point. This gives it many advantages not found
in other connectivity technologies. It also does not damage other
materials nearby, such as wire insulation. These include simple
wire and busbar connections, wire and contact soldering in the
automotive and electronics fields, and special applications for
enamel winding wires, films and sheets, and in the transition to
solid materials, the joints do not embrittle. . The higher welding
strength is produced by the relaxation process of the first two
atomic layers of the component to be welded. The welding method is
similar to diffusion welding and has a wide variety of applications
in the metal field.
Node:
The welding head and the horn are designed as a half-wavelength resonator with an operating frequency. Under the working condition, the amplitude of the two end faces is the largest and the stress is the smallest, and the amplitude of the node corresponding to the intermediate position is zero and the stress is the largest. The position of the node is generally designed to be a fixed position, but the usual fixed position is designed to have a thickness greater than 3 mm, or the groove is fixed, so the fixed position does not necessarily have a zero amplitude, which causes some sound and part of the energy loss. The sound is usually isolated from other components by a rubber ring or shielded with a sound insulating material. Energy loss is taken into account when designing the amplitude parameters.

Precautions of Ultrasonic metal spot welding :
Ultrasonic metal spot welding is widely used in a wide range of
applications, including automotive components, high and low voltage
electrical appliances, and electronic components.
1. Ultrasonic metal welding is generally less than 5 mm thick due
to attenuation during ultrasonic transmission.
2. The function of the grain is anti-slip, and the shape of the
welding head and the texture are determined according to the
workpiece size, material and amplitude requirements. The working
weight is the key consideration, and the reason is the amount of
inertia.
3. It is important to consider the resonance that the ultrasonic
vibration will form. The resonance will cause the weldment to break
and desold.
4. The fixture design must not violate the ultrasonic principle.
5. Ultrasonic welding skills can also be destroyed, and energy
control is required.
