Hybrid stepping motor combines the advantages of reactive type and permanent magnet type. The stator is provided with multi-phase windings, the rotor is made of permanent magnet materials, and the rotor and stator are provided with multiple small teeth to improve the step torque accuracy. Its characteristics are large output torque, good dynamic performance and small step angle, but its structure is complex and its cost is relatively high. According to the winding on the stator, there are two-phase, three-phase and five equal series.

The reason is that it is cost-effective and has good effect when equipped with a subdivision driver. The basic step angle of the stepper motor is 1.8 ° / step. When equipped with a half step driver, the step angle of the stepper motor is reduced to 0.9 °. When equipped with a subdivision driver, the step angle can be subdivided to 256 times (0.007 ° / microstep).

It is recommended that the user select the hardware subdivision type driver when selecting the stepping motor driver, because the hardware subdivision can be used for accurate positioning, while the software subdivision can only reduce the vibration noise of the motor, and cannot be used for accurate positioning.
