Digital hardness Sensor adopts advanced ion selective electrode method (ISE method), with high sensitivity, rapid signal response, stable measurement and simple maintenance. The measurement and control system has the characteristics of convenient use, high accuracy and economy. Using this series of advanced analytical techniques to ensure the long-term stability and reliability of the instrument.

It is used for continuous monitoring and control of hardness content in aqueous solution for drinking water treatment plants, canning plants, drinking water distribution networks, and water treatment projects.

• This product is digital hardness sensor, which can directly output RS485 signal.
• Compact design and preferable anti-interference ability.
• Automatic temperature compensation function.
• No need controller, can directly connect to computers, PLC and other devices with RS485 signal interface for data acquisition and maintenance. It’s convenient for users to integrate data measured by sensors into the industrial control environment, such as host computer system and IOT.
• The sensor can be set with RS485 communication for its slave address, baud rate, online calibration, factory reset, and other settings.

When installing the sensor, it is necessary to pay attention to the protection of the sensor diaphragm to avoid any contact between the diaphragm and other hard parts (e.g. the wall of the pool, the bottom of the pool, the wall of the pipe, etc.), which may cause damage.

• Please do not place the sensor directly into the water, instead use a mounting bracket or flow cell to install the sensor. Please be sure to use raw material tape (3/4 thread) before installation to do a waterproof closure to avoid water entering the electrode and causing a short circuit.
• The installation environment requirements are: water pressure less than 0.1MP, flow rate less than 5cm³/s and temperature less than 35°C.
• The sensor should be installed in a position where the water flow rate is stable and without any air bubbles, and the sensor head should reach below the surface of the water.
• The output signal of the sensor is a weak electrical potential signal, the sensor wires should be wired independently, not with the power supply and control lines with a protective tube to avoid moisture interference or breakdown damage to the measurement circuit.
• It is important to make sure that the measuring water is not charged to avoid interference with the measurement.
• The sensor and cable need to be protected from the sun, water and moisture.
