The KLCG50 or Low Cost Gyro 50 is a remarkable device that features a micro-electro-mechanical System (MEMS) single-axis angular velocity sensor mounted on a compact PC board. This sensor is a self-contained unit that operates on only one DC voltage input to measure the angular rate accurately.
The LCG50 is a perfect fit for embedded applications where installation versatility, ruggedness, and affordability are key considerations. Furthermore, even though the LCG50 is low-cost, its performance characteristics match those of more expensive instrument-grade rate sensors.
The LCG50 is an ideal choice for applications where tight integration and small size are required, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics, and even gaming devices. It boasts a simple interface and excellent measurement accuracy, and it can operate in harsh environments with minimal downtime.
The compact form factor of the KLCG50 means it can be installed in tight spaces, without compromising functionality, ideal for devices with limited space availability. The device is well-suited for implementing control systems, stabilization, position sensing, and navigation in both industrial and consumer applications.
