Parallel Twin Screw Extruder Spare Parts For PVC PP HDPE Film And Sheet Production

1. Introduction of barrels:

Barrels are used as an important part for extruder accessory. It is widely used in various industries. Such as XPS extruder, PS granulator, PE pipe extrusion machine. Because of the difference of raw materials, the requirements for the Barrels are different. For example, when some glass fiber materials are extruded, the wear is larger and the gap between the screw and the Barrels is strictly required. the balance of wear resistance and cost is need to be taken full consideration

We manufacture barrels for co-rotating twin screw extruders ranging from 15.6 mm to 400 mm and over. Our manufacturing specializes in barrels for twin screw extruders and is optimized for flexible order handling.

4. Barrel materials:

We use different kinds of materials for barrel according to different application.
Normally, there are two main kinds of materials, one is HIP powder tool steel, and the other is special steel.

Solid barrel:

Barrel with installed inner
* made of PM-HIP solid *WR13
By working closely with customers in choosing optional materials,we can minimize wear and tear and associated costs.

5. Production Equipment
At present, the company’s factory area exceeds 3000 square meters, and an additional 3000 square meters are under planning and design, covering the complete production process of material research and development, main component production, and testing. The company has 6 technical person, over 40 workers, and multiple imported production and testing equipment from Taiwan and Germany.

How to clean extruder barrel

Cleaning the extruder barrel is an essential maintenance task to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination between different materials. Here are some general steps to clean an extruder barrel:

  1. Purge with resin: Before starting the cleaning process, it is recommended to purge the extruder with a resin similar to the one being processed. This helps push out any remaining material and prepares the barrel for thorough cleaning.
  2. Disassemble the barrel: Depending on the design of your extruder, you may need to disassemble the barrel. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions or consult the equipment manual to safely remove any removable parts.
  3. Remove residual material: Use a scraper or brush to remove any loose or partially melted material from the inner surface of the barrel. Be cautious not to damage the barrel while cleaning.
  4. Soak in cleaning solution: Prepare a cleaning solution suitable for the type of material being processed. Commonly used solutions include a mixture of chemical solvents or commercial purging compounds. Soak the barrel parts in the cleaning solution for the recommended time as specified by the manufacturer.
  5. Mechanical cleaning: After soaking, use a brush or cleaning rod to scrub the inner surface of the barrel to remove any stubborn residues. Be gentle yet thorough to avoid damaging the barrel.
  6. Rinse: Rinse the barrel parts thoroughly with water to remove any remaining cleaning solution or debris. Ensure that all cleaning agents are completely removed.
  7. Dry and reassemble: Allow the barrel parts to dry completely before reassembling them. Ensure that all parts fit back together securely and according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  8. Final purge: Before resuming production, perform a final purge using the appropriate resin to remove any traces of the cleaning solution or debris that may be left inside the barrel.

Remember to always follow the specific guidelines provided by the extruder manufacturer for proper cleaning procedures and any unique considerations related to your equipment.

6. Quality Control
The Test Equipment we have are as follows:
three coordinate detectors, dimensional image measuring instruments, metallographic analyzer, ultrasonic flaw detector, element analyzer and many other basic test machines. Which can fully confirm the quality we offered.

7. Why Choose Us

1) Independent research and development of materials and processes can ensure the performance and process of materials to the maximum extent, and greatly prolong the service life compared with ordinary products, while the main supplier in the market only buy raw materials for machining.

2) Independently develop the process of key products, and constantly improve and enhance the old process to achieve the best product performance.
For example, we changed the production process for barrel liner and liner from sintering to spray welding. Which increased the product service life 3-5 times then normal products.

3) Continuously improving and optimizing product appearance of the composite layer ,which greatly improved the service life of products.for the separately linner and Barrel Liner, we changed the Composite layer from thin 8 shape to ellipse flat angle shape, which increased the product service life greatly.
