Introudction of Tension Safety Joint

The Tension Safety Joint is the optional emergency backoff tool of the drill stem testing work string. The tension safety joint provides a means to disconnect the drill string above the packer when the test packer is stuck during the testing operation.

The tension safety joint is available for the casing size from 2 3/8" to 13 3/8", and the working pressure reaches to 10000 psi.

Feature of the Tension safety Joint

* Full opening of the tension safety joint will provide the passage for other down hole tools.

* The tensile load should be predetermined

* Tools above it can be retrieved when string is stuck.

Operation of the tension safety joint

When running the tension Safety Joint with Tubing Conveyed Perforating, calculate the string weight below the RTTS Safety Joint. The string weight below the tension Safety Joint should not exceed 30% of the tension Safety Joint tension sleeve rating.
