Introduction of Hollow Plug Impact Reversing Sub

The Hollow Plug Impact Reversing Sub is applied for the open hole drill stem testing operation, the reversing sub is served as a circulating valve in the DST working string. The Hollow Plug Impact Reversing Sub is operated by inner pressure to cut off the shear pins, and then open the circulating port on it, when

circulating work is needed.

Constructure of Hollow Plug Impact Reversing Sub

The hollow plug impact reversing sub is composed of valve body, shear pin plate seat, shear pin plate, shear pins and sealing rings. The shear pin plate seat is connected to the valve body through connecting thread and the shear pin plate is restricted in the shear pin plate seat through shear pins. It has simple construction and convenient maintenance.

Test required to check the hollow plug impact reversing sub

* Internal Pressure sealing test:

Clamp Valve body, Install test piston . Connect pressure test pipeline, sensor and pressure test pump to pressure test sub. Then install the pressure test sub to the both ends of the tool and put it into the pressure test groove.Hold the pressure for 15 minutes with no leakage.

Shear Pin Cutting off test

* Install the shear pin plate seat, shear pin plate and shear pins, with the OD of shear pin in the short casing of 6 5/8” RTTS Packer. Then put the tool into the pressure test groove.
