40kA SPD Operational principle:
In common situation, SPD is under high resistance. When the power network is under surge over voltage caused by lightning or other reasons, the SPD will be immediately powered; it will release the surge over voltage into the earth and protect the electrical equipment connected on the power network. When the surge voltage gets through the SPD and disappeared, the SPD will return to high resistance status. Then it will not affect the normal operation of the power network.

thunder and instantaneous over-voltage.
• Provides protection against over-voltage originating from
switching and the secondary effects of lightning strikes,
protecting the electrical installation and all connected equipment.
Can be retrofitted in to existing consumer units if space is
available. Can be mounted in a separate 2-module enclosure if
insufficient space within the consumer unit.
