• Applicable to discharge overvoltage occurred by switch-type (8/20µs) over currents.

• BR-40 4 pole surge arrester is suitable for TN-S system.

• Used for lightning and overvoltage protection in AC50/60Hz, protect the low voltage power network from lightning or surge over votlage.

• Designed for installations where direct lightning strike risk is reduced (without LPS or medium risk)

• Also used in addition to the SPD type 1 in order to limit the operating voltage arresters

AC Surge Arrester 40kA Type 2 Surge Protection Device Installation:

• The type 2 arresters must install into sub-distribution boards after main distribution boards containing type 1 arresters.

• For proper operation between type 1 and type 2 arresters at least 10- 15 m cable or wire must be otherwise a decoupling coil have to install between the two devices.

• In areas where storms are frequent, it is strongly recommended to install additional protection systems.
