Ixpe Foam Expanded Polyolefin Foam Cross Linked Polyethylene Foam Density
Electronic cross-linked polyethylene foam also named Physical
crosslinked polyethyele foam, Irradiation crosslinked polyethylene
foam.Common abbreviations IXPE foam, IXLPE foam.It is made of
low-density polyethylene (LDPE), AC foaming agent and other powders
after being melted, mixed and extruded, and then foamed at high
temperature. IXPE has finer cells, smoother surface and better
mechanical properties than XPE.
Production process: compounding-extrusion-irradiation-foaming.
Note: IXPE foam can be made anti-static (we will talk about
anti-static IXPE later), but XPE cannot (theoretically it is
possible, but our company does not currently produce).

The said product is a close-cell, conductive foam. It is produced by compounding the PE resin with conductive fillers &
blowing agents to extrude certain sheets,then cross-linking and foaming. The basic process can be summarized to the following:
1 Pellitizing master batch by compounding PE resin with carbon
black and AC foaming agents;
2 Extrude the said batch to make certain sheets with different
thickness & width;
3 Cross link the said sheets under electric beam;
4 Make the cross linked sheets foam in foaming furnace
