1. Reasons for Grinding Cracks of Gears Heat Treated in High
Frequency Induction Heating Furnace:
Gears are mechanical parts with teeth that can mesh with each other. They have to withstand huge friction during the working process. For this reason, we often use high-frequency induction heating furnaces for heat treatment. However, during the operation process, it is affected by various factors. Gears may have some defects, such as grinding cracks, etc., which will affect the service life of the workpiece.
The gear heat treatment process has an important impact on grinding
cracks, the main effects are as follows:
1) When the tempering temperature increases, the tendency of gear
wear and tear is reduced. Tempering at 200 °C can reduce the risk
of wear and tear to zero. Whether the tempering is sufficient or
not is the key factor that determines the tendency of the gear to

of grinding cracks. It is generally believed that quenching cracks
on martensite and grain boundaries are one of the causes of

temperature, the microcracks in the martensitic medium decrease.
