Pneumatic Rubber Fenders 2.5X4M, Aircraft Tires
The Yokohama pneumatic fender is a bumper with air as bumping media. Impact energy is absorbed by compressed air so that the ship can berth softly to protect the ship from bumping. The rubber fender is widely used for oil tankers, container vessels, yachts, ocean platforms, large wharf and naval ports, etc. It is suitable for ship berthing of all directions and has been widely used in many types of ship berthing in ports. It has various sizes of D0.5m*L1m – D4.5m*L12m. It can be protected by tire net chains and can be also used without the tire net as well. The Yokohama fender is for sale at LUHANG marines which is a professional manufacturer for marine equipment in china, the most reliable price guaranteed.
It can easily be deflated which allows simple and cost-effective relocation and re-commissioning in other locations. Pneumatic rubber fenders have the merits of high-pressure resistance, high-energy absorption low reaction, aging resistance and saltwater corrosion resistance. They support berthing at angles up to 15 degrees for oil tankers, container vessels, bulwark carriers, yachts, ocean platforms, large wharf and naval ports, etc. We have two types of molded pneumatic fenders: pneumatic rubber fenders equipped with chain-tire-net wildly used for ship to ship transfer operations and hydro pneumatic fenders equipped with counterweight and ballast water designed for a submarine berth, which can be installed vertically. The ISO 17357:2014 compliant chain-tire net pneumatic fender (CTN) is a lattice of used tires connected by a network of horizontal and vertical chains, which adds further protection to the fender body. The chains are galvanized for greater corrosion resistance and covered by rubber sleeves to prevent abrasive damage to the outer rubber. The horizontal chains are fastened at each end to a ring shackle. The rubber fenders are supplied with two different inside pressure levels to cover a wide performance range, 50kPa & 80kPa
Features Of Yokohama Pneumatic Fender
● High strength and friction resistance.
● High energy absorption with a low reaction force
● Adjusted performance by varying internal pressure
● Low and easy maintenance
● Low transportation costs – pneumatic fenders can be deflated and
folded for transport
● Easily deflatable to be used in a different location and to be
stored on deck
Specifications Of Pneumatic Rubber Fenders
These 2 factors are the critical to show the performace of an air filled marine pneumatic fender. Fenders of 50kPa and 80kPa have their different performace at a compression of 60%. Below is a data table of 50kPa and 80kPa of different standard sizes.

Applications of Pneumatic Fenders
Pneumatic fenders find extensive use across various maritime and
offshore sectors due to their versatility and effectiveness in
protecting vessels and structures from impact. Here are some of the
key areas where they are applied:
1. Commercial Vessels
Containers, Tankers, LNG Carriers, and Bulk Cargo Ships: These
large - scale commercial vessels rely on pneumatic fenders during
berthing and mooring operations. The fenders absorb the substantial
impact forces generated when these heavy ships come into contact
with docks, preventing damage to the ship's hull and the docking
infrastructure.
Fast Ferries and Aluminum - hulled Vessels: Fast ferries, which
operate at high speeds and make frequent stops, require reliable
fenders to safeguard their lightweight aluminum hulls. Pneumatic
fenders provide the necessary cushioning to protect against wear
and tear during docking, ensuring the safety of passengers and the
integrity of the vessel.
2. Smaller Craft
Tugboats & Yachts: Tugboats, which are constantly in contact with
other vessels during towing and maneuvering operations, use
pneumatic fenders to protect themselves and the ships they are
assisting. Yachts, on the other hand, benefit from the fenders'
ability to provide a gentle buffer when docking at marinas,
preserving the aesthetic and structural integrity of these luxury
vessels.
3. Offshore Structures
Offshore Platforms & Other Ocean Platforms: In the harsh offshore
environment, pneumatic fenders play a crucial role in protecting
offshore platforms from the impact of supply vessels, workboats,
and other marine traffic. They help maintain the structural
integrity of the platforms, reducing the risk of damage and
potential safety hazards.
4. Terminal Facilities
Kinds of Terminals: Whether it's a container terminal, a bulk cargo
terminal, or a passenger terminal, pneumatic fenders are essential
for ensuring smooth and safe operations. They are installed along
the dock edges to protect vessels during berthing and to facilitate
efficient cargo handling and passenger embarkation and
disembarkation.
5. Temporary and Permanent Installations
Temporary or Permanent Installations: Pneumatic fenders can be used
in both temporary and permanent marine installations. For example,
during construction projects in the water, temporary fenders can be
installed to protect work vessels and structures. In permanent
installations such as breakwaters and jetties, fenders provide long
- term protection against wave action and vessel impacts.
6. Emergency and Rapid Response
Rapid response and emergency fendering: In emergency situations,
such as during salvage operations or when a vessel has lost
control, pneumatic fenders can be quickly deployed to provide
immediate protection. Their ease of installation and high impact -
absorbing capabilities make them ideal for rapid response
scenarios.
