Description of Ceramic beads abrasive media
Ceramic beads is one of abrasive blasting media, especially used in
aluminum die-casting work pieces sandblasting deburring, such as
small screws, gears, mobile phone casings, etc. Ceramic beads
sandblasting deblurring can achieve the effect of removing tiny
burrs, not easy to see any burring residue with the naked eye.

Features of Ceramic beads abrasive media
High efficiency
With high hardness, long life and good elasticity, suitable for the
complicated structure,without damage to the surface of the
workpiece, eliminate the stress and improve the fatigue life of the
workpiece.
High cost performance
Compared to glass beads, it has higher cleanliness, can prolong the
service life 30-50 times. Compared to steel beads, it has superior
smoothness, can prolong life 3-5 times. It ‘s also recyclable,and
can reduce the refueling times, improve working efficiency.
Environmental protection
Not easy to break during sandblasting process, no dust, clean, and
no hidden danger of silicosis, it is harmless to the human body.
Application of Ceramic beads abrasive media
The abrasive like ceramic beads or aluminum oxide grits together
with compressed air is pushed through the blast nozzle to the
workpiece. The high speed abrasive grains wear away the burrs. Most
blasting techniques act as deburring methods.
Ceramic beads abrasive media also widely used for metal surface
finish and blast pretreatment.
How to choose sandblast way to deburr?
The first thing to consider is the burr itself - the thickness and
size of the burr.
Sandblasting is usually applied to lighter or smaller burrs.
Consider the below points:
• Is the burr thick or thin?
• The geometry of the part. Sandblasting is a better choice for
parts that are not easily tumbling. Sandblasting media include
smaller sandblasting materials such as ceramic sand, glass beads,
alumina, resin sand or other media, making it easier to reach these
locations.
• If the burr does not fall off immediately by sand blasting,
sandblasting to remove burrs will not be the correct method.
Conclusion: At present, there are more used in die casting plants.
Suitable for small aluminum alloy die castings with large batch
sizes.

Generally, the small type screw is recommended to use the drum type
automatic sand blasting machine.
The gear deburring can use the rotary type automatic blasting
machine.
The circular saw deburring and the special circular saw special
blasting machine.
