This type of agitator is used to remove the large amount of foam on the surface. With low-middle speed, snake-like grid paddle rotates to destroy bubbles. In this way, the increasing of bubbles is under control. This kind of stirrer is widely used in fermentation tank, and it’s useful to remove bubbles.
Application conditions: Dj / D = 0.35-0.75; Applicable viscosity is commonly less than 2000cp; commonly-used linear velocity is 2-15m / s.

2. Propeller Agitator with Four Oblique Blades

Propeller agitator with four oblique blades is similar to three-blade propeller agitator, and it is characterized by a large projection area. For example, type DSX propeller agitator with four wide blades can serve as a disk of disk agitator, so it’s widely used in fermentation cylinder. If disk agitator and propeller agitator are used in combination, to a large extent, energy can be saved.
Application conditions: Dj / D = 0.2-0.8, often 0.4 is choosed; Applicable viscosity is commonly less than 50000cp; linear velocity is 1-10 m / s; Wide-type agitator B / Dj = 0.2, narrow agitator B / Dj = 0.125.
