How to Calculate Reducing Tee Weight
Equal Tee Weight
- 0.02466*(S+1.5)*[D-(S+1.5)]*(3C-D/2)/1000
- S= wall thickness in mm
- D= outside diameter in mm
- C= length*[out
diameter-(thickness+2)]*(thickness*2)*0.02466*length, the unit is
mm, too
Reducing Tee
- Diameter difference is 1 class: x0.94
- Diameter difference is 2 class: x0.91
- Diameter difference is 3 class: x0.89
Weight of Steel Pipe Tee
There are two ways to get the weight of steel pipe tee. The first
one is the weight tee chart, and the second is using calculation
formula. Based on the equal tee weight, you can get the weight of
reducing tee. The calculation method will introduced in next
chapter.
