What is Roller Cone Drill Bit ?
Roller Cone Drill Bit is a drilling method that uses a roller bits. In roller-bit drilling, rock is cut by hard-alloy teeth projecting from rolling cutters, which rotate on the drill-bit bearings. Inturn, the drill bit rotates at a high rate, and presses against the bottom hole with a high axial force. The teeth of the rolling cutters roll over the bottom hole and, owing to the large stresses that develop in the area of contact between the teeth and the rock, cut the rock by crushing and chipping. As the hardness of therock increases, the rotation rate decreases and the axial force increases. Destroyed at the mine the rock is removed to the surface by air compressor, mud pump, or a combination of these methods.

IADC 7 SERIES DRILL BITS
The medium hard formation TCI tricone bits features robust chisel tungsten carbide inserts on the heel row and conical on the inner rows.
This design provides a fast drilling rate and added cutting structure durability in medium to medium hard formations.
The HSN rubber O-ring provides adequate sealing for bearing durability.
Advantage:
The above represents commonly available sizes and types, we do produce other sizes and types of rock drill bits which do not appear on . Please contact us for more information.
