(China, Shanghai)—The 2016 Asia Attractions Expo recorded a record
number of 11,500 visitors to the industry, including 8,100 buyers,
and recorded records for the exhibition area and number of
exhibitors for six consecutive years. The fair also successfully
held a huge amount of educational conferences, as well as a number
of exchanges in Shanghai's famous attractions, including the
Shanghai Disney Resort, which was just opened to the public. The
event was very enthusiastic and tickets for many projects were
quickly sold out. The Asia Attractions Expo is hosted by the
International Association of Amusement PARks and Attractions
(IAAPA) and was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre
on June 13-16, 2016.
This year's fair has created the largest number of visitors in
history, and the number has increased by 365 percentage points
compared with the exhibition held in Shanghai in 2006. Project
owners, executives, managers, leaders, and numerous developers and
investors from major theme parks, water parks, family entertainment
centers, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers and resorts in
the Asia Pacific region are all present. Visit.
There are 414 exhibiting companies in the Expo, with a net
exhibition area of 12,339 square meters, the scale of which is
the highest ever. Exhibitors from 34 countries and regions bring
you the most innovative products in the attractions industry,
including: multi-dimensional motion simulators, VR equipment,
roller coasters of various shapes and sizes, new concept video
games, immersive Themed design elements and services, interactive
water slides and many other products and services.
The IAAPA School of Attractions Management and the IAAPA School of
Safety Management also attracted many participants. The Expo's
educational conference successfully invited well-known industry
leaders from around the world to bring a series of keynote speeches
including: new developments in Asia, implementation of effective
human resources strategies, creation of risk management plans and
development of business recovery strategies.

2016 Asian Attractions Expo Data:
414 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions displayed their
innovative products at the fair with a total exhibition area of
12,339 square meters. The exhibition area of the Expo is the
highest ever.
8,100 buyers from 79 countries and regions met with suppliers in
the industry at the fair, participated in educational conferences,
and participated in exchange activities to find new business
opportunities and learn important market trends in the industry.
Nearly 920 attendees attended the conference, including more than
40 attendees at the IAAPA Attractions Management Institute and more
than 130 attendees at the IAAPA Security Management Institute.
The Industry Leaders' Breakfast, hosted by IAAPA International
Security Committee Chairman and Premier Rides President Jim Seay
ICAE, attracted nearly 300 attendees.
100 people participated in the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium study tour.
400 people attended the opening dinner.
600 people participated in the "IAAPA Special Presentation:
Shanghai Disneyland Wonderful Night" event.
500 people participated in the "Shanghai Disney Wonderful Journey"
event.
