Modularisation Technology PSA Nitrogen Generator, Nitrogen Generation System
Process Description
A supercharger is used to increase air pressure. Then, a freeze
dryer was introduced to remove moisture. Finally, a carbon
molecular sieve bed is used to separate the nitrogen from the
oxygen, thus ensuring the ideal nitrogen product.
The adsorbent is carbon molecular sieve. It is the use of the
different adsorption rates of oxygen and nitrogen on the surface of
the carbon adsorbent to adsorb O2 and desorb N2. On-off valves are
controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to complete
each cycle of adsorption and desorption, which then produces
nitrogen at the required purity. The two adsorbers alternate
adsorption and desorption to ensure a constant and steady
generation of nitrogen.
