1/1000 scale urban planning model , massing block architectural model
Description:
1:1000 scale is typically used for masterplan models or site
overview models for particularly big areas.
Each metre on site is represented by 1mm on the model which means
the amount of detail that can be
shown is fairly limited. Consequently buildings are usually made as
simplified massing blocks .
Even though 1:1000 is such a small scale we’ve managed to show the
main windows and atrium glazing in clear acrylic for this model of
a proposed school design. We also installed battery powered white
LEDs to illuminate the model .
