Counter-flow type water treatment system requires a equalizing tank. It can meet the requirement of the counter-flow circulation and effectively recover the water discharged when swimmers enter the pool. At the same time, the equalizing tank should be able to meet the water required for backwash of a single pool filter, the additional water volume of the overflow backwater (the surface area of the pool multiplied by the thickness of the overflow layer is 0.005-0.01m), and the water volume of swimmers entering the pool (calculated as 0.05m³ for a swimmer ). That is, when the system is running, the equalizing tank has enough water to backwash the filter, and has sufficient volume to accommodate the water volume, the overflow back water tank, the water volume in the backwater pipe and the overflow backwater layer in the equipment of circulation system. In addition, a certain volume of water should be reserved for the ultra-high overflow water and the static water of the system to contain the water overflow when the number of swimmers suddenly increases greatly when the system is still. At least 100mm gap shall be left between the top of the equalizing tank and the ultra-high overflow water to water pipes of the pool. The structure of the equalizing tank should meet the following requirements:

• The highest water level should be at least 300mm below the bottom of the overflow backwater pipe of the pool in the equalizing tank.
• The water supply pipe connected to the water tank shall be equipped with an anti-backflow device.
• The replenishment of the equalizing tank should be automatically controlled by the water level control system.
• The equalizing tank should be equipped with a liquid level gauge, which can directly observe the water level of the tank at the site, which is convenient for manual control. It should also be equipped with manhole, water inlet, overflow pipe and water suction pit.
• The equalizing tank is assembled on site by non-deformable and corrosion-resistant food grade SUS304 or SUS414 stainless steel.
