Functuion

hemorrhoidal stapler, is designed for use in Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids(PPH) procedures and may help patients recover from hemorrhoid surgery faster with less pain when compared to conventional hemorrhoidectomy procedures.

Mannual

1. Assemble the circular anal dilator and anal obturator together and insert

into the anal canal to push the prolapse back and lift the hemorrhoidal tissue into place.

2. Remove the anal obturator. The internal hemorrhoids are held back

while a purse string is prepared in the rectal mucosa above the dentate

line 3.5-4cm.

3. The Hemorrhoidal Circular Stapler is opened to its maximum position

(about 5.5cm). Its head is introduced and positioned proximal to the

purse-string, which is then tied with a closing knot

4. After the ends of the retraction suture are knotted, the stapler is tightened

and gently pushed into the anal canal. Moderate traction on the

purse-string must be maintained so that the prolapse is drawn into the

stapler casing.

5.With moderate traction on the purse-string, a simple maneuver draws the

prolapsed mucosa into the casing of the circular stapling device. The

instrument is then tightened and fired to staple the prolapse. When the

red line goes into the green area, take off the safety catch and fire.Keep

instrument closed for approximately 20 seconds after firing acts as a

tamponade, which may help promote hemostasis.
