TEST-901 GFUVE with timer circuit breaker testing of 1000A primary current injection test set


TEST-901 primary current injection test set adopts ARM Chip to control its output process and large capacity of toroidal transformers. It is equipped with LCD display and current meter; it can show primary current value, second current value, turn ratio and the action time. Packing is used as aluminum alloy body with PC panel. TEST-901 is mainly applied to CT turn ratio testing in the power system and contact resistance test which need large current.


The primary current injection method is usually the preferred test method because it includes the current sensors, wiring, and the current conduction path in the circuit breaker with the test. However, this method has one disadvantage in that it will not always detect sensor wiring and polarity problems.

Primary injection test systems. A large current (between 100A and 20,000A depending on system specifications and test requirements) is injected directly on the primary side of the electrical system such as a circuit breaker. The objective of the test is to identify how the system operates under various levels of current load.

Primary Injection Primary and secondary current injection tests are normally conducted to check the operation of circuit breaker and their protective relays/devices. The protective devices installed vary from circuit to circuit depending on the protection needs and philosphy but typical relays/devices include overload, over current, reverse etc
The primary injection testing is the only way to prove correct installation and operation of the whole protection chain, as involves testing the entire circuit; current transformer primary and secondary windings, relays, trip and alarm circuits, circuit breakers and all wiring are checked.
