Electrocoagulation Wastewater Treatment Daf Dissolved Air Flotation
The dissolved air flotation (DAF) system is designed to remove
solids (TSS), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), and oils and
greases (O&G) from wastewater. Contaminants are removed by
using a dissolved aqueous solution of water produced by injecting
air into the recirculating stream of clear DAF effluent under
pressure. The recycle stream is then mixed with the upcoming
wastewater in the internal contact chamber.Air bubbles and
contaminants rise to the surface and form a floating bed material
that is removed by a surface skimmer into the internal hopper for
further processing.
Air flotation separation technology refers to that the air and
water under the certain pressure conditions makes the air
dissolving to the water to the maximum, in saturated state, and
then releases the formed pressured dissolved air water through
decompression to produce lots of tiny bubbles and fully contacts
with suspended solid ,then the suspended flocs adhere to the
bubbles raising to the surface of the water companied with the
bubbles, then scums are formed and scraped, to realize the
purification of water.
