General Description
Mu 85 is a soft magnetic nickel-iron alloy with about 80 % nickel,
4.8 - 5.2 % molybdenum, a saturation induction of approx. 0.7 T,
the highest technically obtainable permeability, and a very low
coercive force.
Typical applications are toroidal tape-wound cores, laminations,
shieldings, electromagnetic relays.

It is mostly used in small transformers, pulse transformers,
relays, transformer, magnetic amplifier, electromagnetic clutch,the
reactor coreand magnetic shielding which work inweak magnetic
orsecondary magnetic field.
