Metallurgy PSA Nitrogen Generator With Carbon Molecular Sieve Sorbent
PSA Nitrogen Generator Principles:
PSA nitrogen generator uses carbon molecular sieve as sorbent,
produces nitrogen by making use of the PSA principle. Under certain
pressure, carbon molecular sieve has different oxygen/nitrogen
adsorption capacity, i.e. much more oxygen adsorption capacity than
nitrogen adsorption capacity. PLC controls pneumatic valve on/off
to realize two towers alternate adsorption and desorption as per
pressure change, carries out oxygen/nitrogen separation and
produces nitrogen with desired purity.
PSA Nitrogen Generator incorporates one air compressor, one
refrigerant air dryer and filters, main nitrogen generator, air
buffer tank and nitrogen buffer tank. With higher nitrogen pressure
required, one BROTIE totally oil-free nitrogen compressor will be
equipped after the nitrogen generator to increase the nitrogen
pressure to required pressure.
Compressed air is purified through the air dryer and filters to a
certain level for main generator to work with. Air buffer is
incorporated for smooth supply of compressed air thus to reduce
fluctuation of work demand for air compressor. The generator
produces nitrogen with PSA (pressure swing adsorption) technology,
which is a time proven nitrogen generation method. Nitrogen with a
desired purity is delivered to nitrogen buffer tank for smooth
supply of product gas. Nitrogen in buffer tank is maintained at
6barg pressure. After totally oil-free nitrogen compressor, the
pressure will be compressed to required pressure. It is adjustable
for you to adjust the outlet pressure by a pressure regulator
valve, so that it can be used for your specific use.

When the process adopts lifting air, oxygen and nitrogen have different diffusion rate and adsorptive capacity to separate oxygen from nitrogen on carbon molecular sieve(CMS). When air is compressed
to 0.8MPa, air source enters in pressure-swing adsorption tower for separation after being purified through dry and oil-water separation process (filter). Oxygen molecules are diffused and adsorbed in carbon molecular sieve under pressure. Non-adsorbed nitrogen is discharged from outlet of adsorption tower. Oxygen is desorbed, discharged and purged in adsorption tower under depressurization. Moreover, adsorbent can be recycled.Paige brand.
