The Role of Decoloring Agents in Color Reduction
Breaking Color Molecule Structures
Decoloring agents break the chromophore bonds in dyes, resulting in
the effective color reduction
Adsorption of Colored Particles
Polymer-based decoloring agents efficiently adsorb and remove
color-causing compounds in wastewater
The decoloring agent enhances coagulation and flocculation processes, leading to better color removal
Degrading Organic Dyes
Decoloring agents chemically degrade synthetic organic dyes,
significantly reducing watercolor
Reducing COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand)
Decoloring agents contribute to both color reduction and COD
removal, improving overall water quality

BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent is a highly effective and specialized
product designed for the removal of color from textile dyeing
wastewater, particularly for hydrophilic dyes such as reactive
dyes, acid dyes, disperse dyes, and others. With its fast-acting
formula and low dosage, BWD-01 is capable of quickly clearing the
color and improving the settling of processing liquids, while also
enhancing the removal rate of COD.
This new type of high-performance decolorizing flocculant is a chemical agent that is utilized for a range of applications,
including the removal of color, flocculation, and CODcr reduction in wastewater generated by textile processing plants, dye
industries, and other fields. Its high color removal ability is
attributed to the large number of cations it provides, which
neutralize the negative charges on dye molecules and promote the
destabilization of flocs through hydrolysis.
BWD-01 Water Decoloring Agent is a medium molecular weight polymeric coagulant and a highly efficient decoloring flocculant that is
essential for industries generating colored effluents. If left
untreated, these effluents can have severe consequences on reusable
water resources. In water-scarce areas, BWD-01 is an essential tool
that facilitates the recycling of industrial effluent into process
water, thereby solving the problem of colored effluents generated
by these industries.
1 | High performance to remove textile wastewater color. |
2 | Used to de-color high-coloring effluent from dyestuffs plants. |
3 | Stronger decolorization (50%~99%) and removal of COD (50%~80%). |
4 | Used to treat effluent from the textile and dyeing industry, pigment industry, printing ink industry, and paper industry. |
5 | Can be used as a retention agent in paper & pulp processing |
6 | Faster sedimentation, better flocculation. |
7 | Non-pollution (no aluminum, chlorine, heavy metal ions, etc.). |
8 | It can be used before or after biological treatment. |
9 | Less sludge is produced than other inorganic coagulants |
1 | Make solution first, with BWD-01, and mix with 40 times water to have 2.5% solution for use. |
2 | Make PAC solution, 2-5% Al2O3 |
3 | Have a solution of Anionic Polyelectrolyte, 0.1%. |
4 | Have effluent, test pH value, and adjust pH value to 8-9. (It is very important, higher or lower pH, BWD-01 works not well) |
5 | Add PAC solution, and mix with effluent completely. about 1-3 minutes |
6 | Add BWD-01 solution, and mix with effluent completely, about 5-10 minutes |
7 | Add a small content of anionic polyelectrolyte solution, and mix slowly to have a big floc. (This step is a suggestion) |
8 | Sedimentation |
9 | Check the color of treated effluent |
10 | Adjust the dosage of BWD-01 and PAC to do more tests to have better testing results. |
