Water heater magnesium anode
Water Heater,Water container,Pre-polarization of steel structure in seawater,Gas pipe,Anticorrosion of steel and iron structure where high resistant and electrolyte(soil and water) existed.
Anode Rods are available in diameters ranging from 0.500" to 2.562". Each rod has a steel core running lengthwise through its center. These anodes can be easily configured for various Cathodic Protection applications.
Water Heater Anodes are available in several configurations, with
welded or unwelded Hex-Head and Anode Outlet Devices (AODs). These
anodes are typically used for the Cathodic Protection of Water
Heaters, Tanks and Boilers. The linked-style water heater anodes
are typically for replacement applications.
Drive-in Anodes are used for the Cathodic protection of gas service
entrance piping and other specialty applications. Also available
with steel hex head caps.
Supply Ribbon Anodes are used in higher resistivity soils where
minimum resistance to earth per unit weight of anode is important.
Supply provides a uniform and efficient current distribution along
a pipeline.

Product Introduction:
The corrosion of metal in salt or fresh water or in soil can be
prevented by the use of galvanic anodes in a cathodic protection
system.
Magnesium anodes are used in such systems, most commonly to protect
underground gas, oil and water pipelines.
When the anode's cable is attached to a pipeline or other
underground structure, a galvanic cell is created in which
electrons flow from the anode to the structure, thereby protecting
the structure.
The anode corrodes instead of the structure and must be replaced
after a certain period of time that depends on the type of
structure that is being protected, the size and grade of anodes
that are used, and the corrosivity and resistivity of the
surrounding soil.
In addition to pipelines, magnesium anodes are often used to
protect propane, water and chemical storage tanks, areas of ships
and port facilities that are not in direct contact with sea water,
power plants and irrigation systems.
