1. Summary:

Butterfly valves are typically used to control fluid with high flow and low dropout. Features of this
type of valves include small size, low cost, small installing space and simple structure.

Bodies of butterfly valves are provided with smooth fluid passage, the drag coefficient of which is
low enough to achieve comparative high flow, and therefore to be applicable for flow rate control
of mediums such as silt, pulp and those with high viscosity, fiber and particles.

Electric control butterfly valves may adopt various bodies with different liner and valve plate made
of different materials to be mounted on pipelines for controlled mediums according to type of the
medium. Valve opening will be controlled automatically based on the magnitude of input signal.
