DP802i X-γ Radiation Personal Dose Equivalent (rate) Monitor is mainly used for

cobalt gamma irradiation, radioactive laboratory, nuclear facilities around the environmental monitoring field, timely alarm indicator, ensure the safety of workers, The instrument can be measured simultaneously dose rate and cumulative dose.

1). Monitoring Status Display

From Left to Right:

1st line: Battery indicator, alarm, vibration alarm, flashing alarm, time.

Second line:Dose rate, the dose rate was 0.18 uSv/h.

Third line:Radiation area countdown, the setting time for 10 minutes; Cumulative Dose, The cumulative dose uSv 18.0.

2).Query, Status Display

First line: Time(display“:”),Date(display“/”)

Second line: Dose rate alarm threshold, it’s 100uSv/h.

Third line: Stay time (00 say no set); Cumulative dose alarm threshold, it’s 500uSv.

3).Cumulative Dose Query Display

First line: Starting date of accumulative total, it’s Oct.18.

Second line: Starting year accumulative total, it’s the year of 2006.

Third line: The cumulative dose to the current time is mSv 36.8

4),Key Function

A Dial wheel button on the left of the instrument,

UP key: Power on, Check settings, Modification Parameter

Down key: Power off, Check total dose, Modification Parameter

Middle key: Backlighting, Setting

1. Power on

Press button up key for 3 seconds, power on instrument into the measuring state, displays information as shown in picture 1.

2. Power off

With button down key for 3 seconds, power off the instrument.

3. BacklightingPress the middle key, backlight will be on.
4. Check all parameters

Measurement condition, upward the key, that all the working parameters will be displayed as shown in picture 2.

5. Check cumulative dose

Measurement condition, press downward key, it will show accumulative total dose and its start time as shown in picture 3.

6. Enter parameter settings

Press the middle key 3 seconds; enter setup, as shown in picture 3 shows that, the parameters of the flashing said can be modified.

7. Exit status

Press the middle key 3 seconds, exit status, or not make any key operation after 10 seconds will quit setup and returns to the measuring condition.

5). Setting Parameter

After entering parameter modification, the corresponding parameters which can be set will shine, then press the upward or downward key to change the value accordingly.

• Dose Rate Alarm Threshold Value

When dose rate alarm threshold flashing, press up and down the thumb wheel key can modify the value of the dose rate alarm threshold, it can be selected in 0.5,1.0,2.5,10,30,50,100 and 500(unit: uSv/h)

• Cumulative Dose Alarm Threshold:

When cumulative dose option flashing, press up and down the thumb wheel key can modify the value of the alarm threshold, its can be selected in 0.1,0.2,0.3,0.5,1,2,5,10,20 and 50 (unit: mSv).

• Dose Rate Alarm

Sound, vibration, shine, etc can be chose.

• Stay Countdown

Setting from 0～99 minuets according to customer request.

• Clock Setting

Set hour, minuets

• Date Setting

Set year, month, day

• Cumulative Dose

When cumulative dose flashing, press up key or down key to choose whether to clear, 0.00 says to clear, flashing means the current cumulative dose not clear. Choose clear, the system will take the current date as the starting date of the cumulative dose.

**ATTENTION**

Cumulative Dose doesn’t return after clearing

6). Alarm Instruction

• Dose Rate Alarm:

Sound Instruction: ring 0.2 Sec., stop 0.8 Sec.

Luminous Instruction: light 0.5 Sec., dark 0.5Sec.

Vibration Instruction: vibration 0.5 sec., stopped 0.5 sec.

In the same time, the alarm mark flashing.

Close the alarm: press any key removes or below alarm threshold or closed alarm prompt.

• Cumulative Dose Alarm:

Sound Instruction: ring 0.5 Sec., stop 0.5 Sec

In the same time, the value of the cumulative dose flashing.

Close: Press the middle key in short time to remove alarm.

• Equipment Fault Alarm:

Sound Instruction: ring 0.8 Sec., stop 0.2 Sec

Close: Trouble relieved can automatically terminate

• Overload Obstruction Alarm:

Voice: long ring.

Methods: leave off high radiation area can be lifted.

• Power Instruction:

Battery Indicator: empty battery symbol flashing, in the same time, every minute will have a 0.1 sec. “drops” sound. Then it means the batter has insufficient, please replace the battery.

When the battery shortage, instrument will automatically save data and shutdown.
