1J79 1J85 Soft Magnetic Alloy Core Permalloy Strip 0.05mm for Transformer
Ohmalloy-1J79 1J85 is a nickel-iron soft magnetic alloy with about
80%nickel content and 20%iron content. Physicist Gustave Elman
invented it in 1914 at bell telephone labs, known for its high
magnetic conductivity, which allows it to be used as a core
material for electrical and electronic equipment or to shield
magnetic fields. The relative magnetic conductivity of commercial
permalloy alloys is generally around 100,000, compared to several
thousand for ordinary steel.
In addition to its high magnetic conductivity, its other magnetic
properties include low recalcitrant force, near-zero magnetic
telescopicity, and significant anisotropic magnetic resistance. Low
magnetic telescopicity is critical for industrial applications and
allows it to be used in films, otherwise variable stresses can lead
to devastating changes in magnetic performance. Depending on the
strength and direction of the added magnetic field, the resistivity
of pomo alloys can vary by up to 5%. When the nickel concentration
is 80%, Pomo alloys usually have a surface-core cubic crystal
structure with a lattice constant of about 0.355 nm. One drawback
of Pomo alloys is that they are not very malleable and do not work,
so complex shape applications, such as magnetic shielding, are made
of other high-conductive alloys, such as mu metal. Pomo alloys are
used for transformer plates and magnetic recording heads.
Ohmalloy-1J79 1J85 is widely used in the radio electronics industry, precision instruments, remote control and automatic control systems.
