WEEM 3128 anti-static, self-sharpening Zirconia Alumina waterproof polyester segmented belts are designed for wide panel and board sanding applications.

Description:

WEEM 3128 Zirconia Alumina belts are designed for use as sectional or segmented belts. They use Z-weight polyester backing, which offers both stiffness and high tensile strength—ideal for segmented belt construction. An anti-static treatment is applied to the backing to delay or prevent loading issues.

Zirconia Alumina (ZA), identifiable by its blue color, is a tough synthetic abrasive best suited for high stock removal applications. Its heavy-duty structure requires greater pressure to fracture the self-sharpening grains. It is ideal for aggressive grinding of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as planing of hardwoods. In demanding applications, Zirconia Alumina can last up to five times longer than aluminum oxide. It is especially effective in coarse grit sizes, typically from 40 to 80, for heavy material removal.

For panel sanding industries, customized belt sizes such as 1950mm x 2800mm or 2650mm x 3200mm are available.

A strong bi-directional tape splice is used. WEEM 3128 segmented belts are available with 2 types of joint configurations.
