ASME SA213 TP321 Bright Tube BA For High Temperature In The Food
And Pharmaceutical Industries
ASME SA213 TP321 bright tube is a high-standard seamless austenitic
stainless steel tube used in critical equipment such as boilers and
pressure vessels. Made of titanium (Ti)-stabilized 321 stainless
steel, it offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion
and excellent high-temperature performance.
It is widely used in critical equipment such as power plant
boilers, the petrochemical industry, and the food and
pharmaceutical industries, which require extremely high material
properties and surface finishes. Through a bright annealing (BA)
process, its surface is free of scale and decarburization, forming
an extremely pure, dense, and uniform chromium passivation film.
This not only provides a superior corrosion resistance compared to
ordinary pickled tubes, but also offers a smooth, flawless surface
that resists contaminant adhesion and residue, making it extremely
easy to clean and sterilize, meeting the requirements of industries
such as food, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductors.

Choose pickled tube when:
Cost is the primary consideration.
Used in general industrial environments, such as chemical piping
and structural support components.
Low aesthetic requirements.
The pipe may undergo subsequent processing, such as welding and
bending, which may damage the surface.
Choose bright annealed (BA) tube when:
Extremely high corrosion resistance is required, especially in
harsh environments such as the chemical and marine industries.
High cleanliness requirements to prevent product contamination,
such as in the food, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor industries.
Aesthetics are important, such as for visible decoration or
high-end equipment components.
Media tend to deposit or adhere to the surface, and a smooth
surface is easier to clean and maintain (such as food and dairy
piping)
Application
Boiler superheater/reheater tubes
Economizer tube bundles
U-tube heat exchangers (TEMA standard)
Hydrogenation reactor feed/discharge lines
Auxiliary steam generator tube bundles
High-temperature molten salt heat exchangers (solar thermal power
generation)
